Who Are We?

Houghton Regis Community Church is a Jesus-centered, open and friendly church that meets at Tithe Farm Lower School, Tithe Farm Road, every Sunday morning at 10.45am.

We run a number of home groups which meet throughout the week. We also work with the elderly
(at Lady Spencer House in Houghton Regis) and with young children, who are also well looked after
during our Sunday meetings. All people from the church who work with children have been CRB
checked.

HRCC is looking at youth work, parenting courses and working closely alongside local schools in the
Houghton Regis area. Our aim is to meet, wherever we can, the needs of today’s communities in our
town.

HRCC is a family of people who care very much for each other, and we welcome anyone of any age
or background to come and meet with us, either on a Sunday or at the Jewels Arts and Craft Centre
in Bedford Square (see right).

Jewels Arts and Craft Centre is part of the ministry of HRCC but is more than just a supplier of arts
and craft materials.

We are a registered charity and also part of the River Network of churches;

Activities at the shop include adult and children workshops for calligraphy, water-colour painting,
needle-work, card making etc.

Our Activities

We would like to take this opportunity of introducing you to Houghton Regis Community Church and to some of our activities.

The main meeting takes place on Sunday at Tithe Farm Lower School, Tithe Farm Road. This starts at 10.45am and we cater fully for the whole family, no matter what the age. All people who work with children are CRB checked.

Part of the work of HRCC also involves Jewels Arts and Crafts Centre - our shop in Bedford Square, Houghton Regis. Alongside supplying arts, craft and haberdashery materials, Jewels runs a number of courses which we hope might be of interest to you. These are:

Art Explorers – Tuesdays 10:30 to 12 noon for pre-school age

Tuesdays 3:50 to 5:30 for 5 years+

Prayer meeting and Bible reading - Wednesdays
Bible Explorers – Friday 1:00 to 2:30pm for under 5’s.

There are also other courses during the week that cover water colours, calligraphy, card making, Jewellery, needle craft etc.
